Even after they leave the framework of the Shelter and Halfway Housing and have moved on to self-sufficient, independent lives in Jerusalem or the vicinity, former residents are entitled to continued support from Woman to Woman. The full range of Halfway Housing programs is made available and adapted to the families’ independent status as they integrate into the community. This includes weekly support groups, free legal aid, tutorial assistance for the children, help with child care, employment counseling. Approximately 25 women regularly receive this kind of assistance.

Abused women in the local community can also gain access to Woman to Woman’s counseling and assistance by participating in the Community Rehabilitation and Integration Program.

Woman to Woman also takes an active role in raising public awareness and sensitivity to domestic abuse in a number of ways. Staff and volunteers are available for lectures and meetings with groups and individuals in diverse settings: local authorities, community centers, social agencies, the police, legal forums, health centers, women’s groups, and more.
